It is 9:30pm Thursday...quick rundown of our day:
Morning - woke up late after long day before.I texted the boss and said I'd meet them...stayed in hotel and relaxed until 11. Nice not to be in a rush.
Then I Ubered to the place they went for lunch - famous Atlanta burger place The Varsity
Then we went to Centennial Park and were let loose for 3 hours in the heat...I did the Atl Skyview
Then I went to a library and hung out .. then back to the bus, the game was rained out so we went back to the hotel...the boss ordered Dominos pizza and that was the day
It sounds like a bad day and it was...but I got to sleep late, and we stayed at the same hotel for two nights - that is a treat.
Tmrw bus leaves at 8:30 for a 4+ hour trip to Tampa Bay for the Nationals v Rays.
*****
A very hard long day yesterday including a plane after the Houston Astros game to Atlanta.
I lot of trouble finding our bus...Atlanta Airport had shuttle problems so we had a long walk to the bus...we got into our hotel at 12:30...Time change caused me to wake up late...so I bowed out of the bus and will Uber to meet the group at lunch.
The two games we have seen so far have bee good especially yesterday - the Astros beat the tigers.
This is all about walking into each park for the game...the buzz...all these parks are new to me. The tour people are %50 non-baseball knowledgeable...so I have trouble finding someone to talk baseball with.
But still a unique fun experience if you remove all the logistics and packing/unpacking/late night/early morning hotels...all good.
I don't have much time to send pictures here....I'll try and update eventually
Meanwhile the Knicks Parade is going on now in NYC!!
